Private podcast transcription on your Mac
Feedcast uses the modern macOS transcription framework to process audio on-device. The media file does not need to be sent to a remote transcription service, and Feedcast does not require an account or include an analytics SDK.
The transcript fills in as processing runs and stays time-aligned with playback. Selecting a result can move the player to that point in the episode, making the transcript useful for research, quotations, reminders, and finding the part you want to hear again.
Search scope: transcript search works within an episode. Feedcast’s library search covers titles, descriptions, and channels; it does not claim to search every transcript across the entire library at once.
Chapters that survive the trip to your player
When a podcast already ships useful chapters, Feedcast keeps them, including chapter artwork where available. Chapter tools let you adjust titles and timing or add structure to media that arrived without it.
Premium chapter generation can use transcript text to propose useful sections for eligible episodes. This feature uses a remote model and a server-side quota, so it is different from on-device transcription and is not promised for every possible episode.
After processing, chapters are embedded into the personal copy and can appear in compatible podcast players. You can jump to an interview, a topic, or a closing segment without scrubbing through a waveform.

Transcripts and chapters work alongside Feedcast’s other processing tools. Detected sponsor sections can be cut from eligible episodes before delivery, and chapter timing is adjusted around removed sections. The result is organized before your podcast app downloads it.
