Podcast ad blocker for Mac

Podcast ads, cut out before you press play.

Feedcast preprocesses episodes on your Mac, finds recognized sponsor sections, and cuts them from your personal copy. Then you listen in the podcast app you already use.

Free to start · Premium automates sponsor removal · Requires macOS 26

Keep your player. Change what reaches it.

Most podcast ad blockers try to become your new player or skip a timestamp only while you listen. Feedcast takes a different approach: it is a native Mac processing layer between the original show and your preferred podcast app.

01

Add your shows

Search Apple’s podcast catalog, paste an RSS feed, or import your own audio and video. One Feedcast feed can collect multiple shows.

02

Prepare a clean copy

Feedcast downloads the episode, transcribes eligible audio, identifies recognized sponsor reads, and cuts those sections from your copy.

03

Subscribe once

Add your personal Feedcast RSS feed to Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Castro, or another compatible player.

What “podcast ad blocker” means here

Feedcast does not intercept an ad as it is streamed and it does not claim that every ad can be found. It preprocesses a downloaded episode and physically removes sponsor sections it recognizes. The resulting media file is what your podcast app receives.

This mechanism matters. A cleaned episode behaves like a normal podcast episode after processing: you can download it, play it at variable speed, use a sleep timer, and listen through the player whose queue and interface you already know.

Honest limitation: sponsor detection is good, not perfect. Host reads vary, some ads blend into the show, and not every interruption can be identified reliably. Feedcast gives you a result you can review instead of pretending detection cannot miss.

Built for recurring sponsor reads

Podcast advertising is often part of the spoken program: a host changes topic, reads a promotion, then returns to the episode. Feedcast works from episode content and available chapter information rather than requiring a public timestamp list for every show. That makes the approach useful for both large and smaller podcasts.

Automatic preparation is the point. Feedcast can watch your subscriptions on a schedule, download new episodes, process them on the Mac, and refresh your personal feed. Premium enables the recurring sponsor-removal workflow, generated chapters, unlimited output feeds, OPML import, and online feed XML publishing.

Privacy without vague promises

Your podcast media is stored and processed on your Mac, and transcription is performed on-device. Feedcast has no account requirement and no analytics or tracking SDK. Network access is still used where the feature requires it—for RSS downloads, optional online feed XML publishing, StoreKit, SponsorBlock checks, and server-assisted chapter generation.

If online feed hosting is enabled, Feedcast publishes the RSS XML so more podcast apps can discover the feed. The episode media itself remains on your Mac and streams from there, which means the Mac must be awake and reachable when another device downloads an episode.

More than removed ads

Feedcast keeps chapters already provided by a show and can generate chapter navigation for eligible episodes. On-device transcription creates a time-synced transcript that can be searched within the episode. Together, sponsor removal, chapters, and transcripts turn a raw download into a more useful personal copy.

Podcast ad blocker FAQ

Can Feedcast remove every podcast ad?

No. Feedcast cuts sponsor sections it detects, but spoken ads are not uniform and some will remain. It is a preprocessing tool, not a promise of perfect detection.

Does Feedcast replace my podcast player?

No. Feedcast prepares the episode and publishes a personal RSS feed. You can keep Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Castro, or another compatible player.

Is sponsor removal automatic?

Automatic sponsor removal for new episodes is part of Feedcast Premium. The free app includes three output feeds, on-device transcripts, playback, chapter editing, and library tools.

Does it remove dynamically inserted ads?

Feedcast analyzes the downloaded media it receives. It does not intercept ads live during playback, and the result depends on the audio present in that downloaded copy.
